Of the 50 states in America, 49 of them require landscapers to have a professional license. (Good luck to those of you living in Oregon!). Always ask to see a landscaper’s license to be sure that you’re getting professional work done on your yard. Then search on one of the local county websites to see if the contractor is registered and the license is active and up to date.

Palmetto Weevil Grubs

If your palm trees in Southwest Florida are slowly dying and you’re not sure what is causing the problem, the culprit might be a pest called the Palm Weevil (also known as the “Palmetto Weevil”.) Palm weevils are commonly found in:

  • Cabbage Palms
  • Saw Palmettos
